This policy explains what information Amped Up Dad collects when you visit ampedupdad.com, buy merch, submit a band, or join our email list, and what we do with it. Amped Up Dad is based in Colorado. If you have a question about your information, email merch@ampedupdad.com.
The short version
- We only collect what we need to run the store, feature bands, and send emails you signed up for.
- We don’t sell your information.
- We share it only with the services that help us run the site, like payment, printing, and shipping.
- You can ask us to see or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
When you buy merch
Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give it, and what you ordered. This is what we need to make, ship and support your order. Your payment card details go straight to our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
When you submit a band
The band name, Instagram handle, hometown, and song details you enter in the submission form. We store submissions on the site and receive a copy by email so we can listen to them and decide what to feature. If we feature your band, the band name, handle and song may appear in our posts, reels and on this site.
When you join our email list
Your email address, so we can send you new band picks and gear tips. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list any time.
When you just browse
Like most websites, our hosting and site software automatically record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use it to keep the site running and secure.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are popular. It uses cookies and collects information about your visit. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Cookies
The store uses small files called cookies to remember what’s in your cart and to keep checkout working. If you have an account, cookies also keep you logged in. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout won’t work without them.
Who we share information with
We only share what each service needs to do its job:
- Payment providers: Stripe, PayPal and WooPayments process payments, depending on which one you choose at checkout.
- Print and fulfillment: Printful receives your name, shipping address and order details so it can print and ship your merch.
- Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
- Email provider: the service that sends our email list stores the email addresses of subscribers.
- Website hosting: our site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers store the site and its data.
- Instagram: the Discover section shows posts from our own Instagram account. Those images load from Instagram’s servers, so Instagram can see that your browser requested them.
- Google Fonts: the site’s fonts load from Google, which can see your IP address when they load.
- Legal reasons: we may share information if the law requires it, or to protect against fraud.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own advertising.
Affiliate links
Some links on the site, like the gear guide, are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When you click one, you go to that company’s website, which may set its own cookies so it knows you came from us. What happens there is covered by that company’s privacy policy, not this one.
How long we keep information
- Order records: as long as we need them for taxes, accounting and handling returns or exchanges.
- Band submissions: until we no longer need them, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can email merch@ampedupdad.com to ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you,
- correct it, or
- delete it, except for records we have to keep, such as order records needed for taxes.
We may need to confirm it’s really you before we act on a request.
Keeping information safe
The site uses a secure connection (HTTPS), payments are handled by our payment providers, and access to our store data is limited to us. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Kids
The site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
